The ‘King’s’ Rise And Fall: Benjamin Netanyahu

A person holding power longer than the country’s founder is extremely uncommon, but Benjamin Netanyahu is no stranger to breaking milestones. Mr. Netanyahu, a former honourable soldier who entered politics in 1988 and ascended through the ranks to become the head of the government in just eight short years, is Israel’s youngest and longest-serving prime minister.
Despite being in a unique position to do so when he first came to office in 1996, Mr. Netanyahu, a strong nationalist sometimes known as “King Bibi,” has never been deterred by criticism for never genuinely giving peace with Palestine a chance.
