Maoist extremism Is About To Be Totally Eliminated In India, Says Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared today that India is “on the verge of” totally defeating Maoist radicalism and that the Narendra Modi administration is “determined” to prevail in this conflict.
He was speaking to Border Security Force (BSF) troopers during the paramilitary group’s 59th Raising Day festivities. On this day in 1965, the force, consisting of around 2.65 lakh personnel, was raised.

According to Amit Shah, over the past ten years, there has been a 52% decrease in Maoist violence occurrences, a 70% decrease in deaths related to these incidents, and a 46% decrease in the number of afflicted districts. He stated that there are now 176 “LWE-hit police stations” instead of 495.
