Indian officials are praised by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for their effective rescue effort in Uttarakhand

Anthony Albanese, the prime minister of Australia, praised the Indian government for their effective rescue effort that freed 41 workers who were trapped in the collapsed Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand. In a social media post, Mr. Albanese took delight in the work of Professor Arnold Dix, an Australian tunnelling expert who led the two-week operation while overcoming numerous obstacles.

Philip Green, the Australian High Commissioner to India, praised the rescue effort and called it a tremendous accomplishment.
