Speaking with Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reviewed the situation in Gaza during a tense period in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
In the midst of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the minister of external affairs promised to “stay in touch” when speaking with Cohen.
“I just had a conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister @elicoh1. talked about the security of regional maritime traffic, Lebanon, and the Gaza situation,” Mr. Jaishankar posted on X, formerly Twitter.In November, Mr. Jaishankar also spoke with Cohen over the phone, restating India’s commitment to “fighting terrorism, upholding international humanitarian law, and a two-state solution.”
