Sonia Gandhi says she supports the measure for women’s reservations

Sonia Gandhi, a former president of the Congress, urged for the quick implementation of the women’s reservation law in the Lok Sabha while also advocating for an OBC quota on protected seats.

In her statement, she said that the bill’s passing would “fulfil the dreams of my life partner Rajiv Gandhi.”

“The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam has the support of the Congress party. If the bill is approved, we will be pleased. But I do have a question. For the previous 13 years, women have patiently awaited this bill. Our women, however, are currently being advised to wait for a few more years. the number of years? 2, 3, 6, 8? a number of years? Gandhi posed the question as she started the legislative debate.
