In the IND versus AFG game, Rohit Sharma scores the fastest World Cup century by an Indian in 63 balls

In 63 balls, Rohit Sharma scored the fastest World Cup century by an Indian during the play against Afghanistan on Saturday in Delhi.

Virender Sehwag’s 81-ball century against Bermuda in the 2007 World Cup was eclipsed by the 36-year-old. With his seventh century spanning three World Cups, Rohit also surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s previous mark of six centuries from the same number of seasons for the most centuries in the tournament.

In just 19 innings, the 36-year-old tied the record for fewest innings needed by a batter to score 1000 World Cup runs.
