$148 million must be paid to an ex-trump attorney for defaming poll workers

Donald Trump’s former attorney, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, was ordered by a jury on Friday to pay $148 million in damages for falsely accusing two poll workers in Georgia of engaging in election fraud, according to US media.

Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea “Shaye” Moss were given $16 million each by the eight-member federal jury for defamation, an additional $20 million for emotional distress, and $75 million in punitive damages.
