In a wide-ranging interview on Wednesday, Chief Executive Officer Linda Yaccarino defended the development of the company under the leadership of billionaire owner Elon Musk and said social media platform X could start turning a profit in early 2024.
Yaccarino made the appearance at the Vox Media Code conference as he passed the 100-day mark as CEO of the website formerly known as Twitter. Her independence in the position has come under scrutiny, as has the company’s ability to win over advertisers wary of the platform’s rapid changes and Musk’s contentious persona.
The pace of change and the scope of the goals at X, according to Yaccarino, are unmatched elsewhere.
