President Joe Biden attacked “extremist” Donald Trump directly and harshly on Thursday, urging Americans to defend democracy and charging his rival with attempting to undermine US institutions.
In a speech in the pivotal state of Arizona, the Democrat claimed that Trump was motivated by “vengeance and vindictiveness” and that the Republican and his hard-right allies were undermining the free press and the rule of law.
