Let’s show the world, we stand as ONE: Virat Kohli on PM Narendra Modi’s light-a-candle initiative
The Indian sports fraternity is doing its bit to gather support and rally behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of lighting a candle to mark the national fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
Superstar athletes such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar and Hardik Pandya tweeted in support of the movement which the PM announced on April 3.
“The power of the stadium is in its fans. The spirit of India is in its people. Tonight 9pm for 9min. Let’s show the world, we stand as ONE. Let’s show our Health Warriors, We stand behind them. Team India – IGNITED,” Kohli tweeted on Sunday.
