Telangana CM KCR set to scrap VRA system entirely

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao stated that the VRA (Village Revenue Assistants) system would be abolished in its entirety. He argued that the feudal system, which had persisted for so long with outmoded terms like Neerati, Maskuru, and Lashkar, should be completely abolished. During a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, he announced that employees who serve as VRAs around the State would be regularized in excess positions in the Revenue department.
