Jaipur. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi launched a direct assault on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during her first Jaipur campaign rally for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. She accused him of thinking he was better than the people, plotting to alter the constitution, and undermining democracy. She declared that PM Modi “desh aur loktantra ka cheerharan kar rahe hain” (PM Modi is depriving the nation and democracy of dignity) during her seven-minute address. She claimed he was employing every strategy to destroy democracy and scare opposition politicians into joining the BJP.
