According to a local party office-bearer today, senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has arrived in Goa for a personal visit.
According to him, the former president of Congress reached the coastal state .
Deputy Superintendent of Police Salim Sheikh said, speaking with Press Trust of India, “Sonia Gandhi arrived at the Dabolim international airport in a regular flight. She then proceeded to a South Goa resort.”
“It is her private visit as there is no intimation of any official programme as of now,” he stated.According to a local Congress official, Sonia Gandhi has no planned party meetings or meetings with leaders while she is in Goa.
