Actress Sharmila Mandre hurt as car crashes into Vasanthnagar railway bridge pillar
Film actress Sharmiela Mandre, 33, and her friend K Lokesh Vasanth, 35, sustained injuries after the Jaguar in which they were travelling in the wee hours of Saturday crashed into a pillar of the railway underbridge in Vasanthnagar.
The two got admitted to a private hospital on Cunningham Road around 3 am and left after taking first aid, saying they would approach their family doctors for further treatment.
The High Grounds traffic police have taken up a suo moto case after coming to know of the accident from the private hospitals Medico Legal Case (MLC).
At the time of registering the MLC in the hospital, they were told that the place of accident was Jayanagar.
