Anupam Mittal, the creator of Shaadi.com, recently highlighted the news of Reliance Industries Ltd.’s massive employment layoffs. Mittal raised worry about the report’s low-profile character, stating that such material should spark substantial debate in economic and political circles.According to the Economic Times, Reliance Industries cut its staff by 42,000, or 11%, in the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the previous year. The company’s total number of workers decreased from 389,000 in 2022-23 to 347,000 in 2023-24.The analyst stated that while the existing staff has been optimised, future hiring may grow due to new business prospects and strategic changes.
