Rishabh Pant, India’s wicketkeeper and batsman, is healing quickly after being involved in a car accident in December 2022. Pant is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where his speedy recovery has shocked both the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the NCA staff. Pant was strolling with crutches since he was unable to walk after knee surgery in January. He was unable to compete in the IPL 2022 and WTC 2023 finals, as well as several bilateral series for India. His chances of playing in the World Cup were poor. However, with Pant able to walk pain-free and without assistance, the BCCI believes he can still play, according to ESPNcricinfo.
