India is celebrating its 75th Republic Day today, January 26, 2024. This year’s chief guest will be French President Emmanuel Macron.
President Droupadi Murmu will hoist the national flag at 8 a.m. on Kartavya Path. This year’s Republic Day theme is ‘Viksit Bharat’ or ‘Loktatantra ki Matruka’.
The Republic Day 2024 parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. (IST) at Vijay Chowk in New Delhi, and will travel along Kartavya Path from there. It will begin from Rashtrapati Bhawan and continue to the Rajpath.
The facility will hold around 77,000 people, with 42,000 earmarked for the general public.
Several tableaus will depict India’s rich cultural heritage, culture, and traditions. The cultural splendour of R-Day includes lively fold dance displays and patriotic songs.
