Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron had extensive talks today at a 19th-century palace that highlights Jaipur’s royal legacy in order to strengthen bilateral strategic engagement.
The talks took place hours after the French president was greeted on the red carpet in the Pink City, which was followed by a PM Modi-Macron roadshow from the astronomical observatory Jantar Mantar to the famed Hawa Mahal.
Macron also visited the majestic Amber Fort, which is located in the Aravalli hills on the outskirts of Jaipur. He will be the special guest at Friday’s Republic Day celebrations on Delhi’s Kartavya Path.
