Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a popular television program, recently marked its 16th anniversary of airing its debut episode. To commemorate this milestone, fan favourite Jethalal, played by Dilip Joshi, had a special Instagram live session and interacted with his admirers. During the discussion, Dilip Joshi recounted being cast as Jethalal. He discussed his first contact with producer Asit Modi, which led to the beginning of their filmmaking journey. “I wanted to meet everyone today. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s debut episode aired exactly 16 years ago, in 2008. I vividly recall the day Asit Bhai summoned me to his office for Jethalal’s part. Following that chat, we began filming.
