Anand Mahindra Criticises British Anchor’s Statement Regarding India’s Poverty

Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group, answered on Thursday to a query presented by a BBC anchor. Anand Mahindra is well known for his active social media presence and for sharing interesting videos with his followers. The presenter had questioned if India should invest major resources in a Chandrayaan-3-scale space programme. “You know I’m going to have to ask you because some people are thinking about this,” the BBC presenter remarked. India is a nation with poor infrastructure and a large amount of poverty. I estimate that more than 700 million Indians lack access to a toilet. Really, Really, should they be funding a space programme with this much money?
