China’s President Xi Jinping congratulated his US counterpart on the anniversary of diplomatic relations and stated that he was willing to collaborate with the US to advance stable bilateral ties, according to official media.
When Xi and US President Joe Biden met in San Francisco in November, they made a commitment to enhance communication in an effort to prevent rivalry from turning into hostilities.
To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the two nations’ diplomatic relations being established, Xi also stated that both parties should “take practical actions to promote the stable, healthy and sustainable development of China-US relations” in a message exchange.
