On Friday, March 10, 2023, China’s Parliament unanimously approved President Xi Jinping’s unprecedented third five-year term.
Mr. Xi, 69, was re-elected as leader of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) by its once-every-five-year Congress in October last year, becoming the first Chinese leader since party founder Mao Zedong to serve beyond the two five-year terms.
