Shoaib Malik, the former captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, announced his wedding to actress Sana Javed on Saturday, “a few months” after splitting from Indian tennis icon Sania Mirza.
“Alhamdullilah. And We made you in pairs,” Shoaib Malik wrote in an Instagram post, tagging a few photos of Ms Javed.Since the announcement, Mr Malik’s post has caused a stir among internet users in both countries.
Several Pakistani social media users have expressed their support for Ms Mirza, with some claiming that she was “too good” for 41-year-old Malik.
