According to a senior Russian diplomat, the G20 summit in India is one of the “most important” events for Moscow, implying that Russian President Vladimir Putin may attend the summit, which would be the first time he would meet with western leaders since the start of the Ukrainian war.
In response to queries during the weekly briefing of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the MEA spokeswoman stated that the government “looks forward to welcoming Mr. Putin” at the G20 meeting in Delhi on September 9-10.
