The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has stated that Vladimir Putin needs to decide whether to support his own defence ministry or a group of ultranationalist military bloggers.
According to the most recent research from the US-based thinktank, the military bloggers, who have a significant amount of influence over pro-war Russians who read their blogs, are becoming increasingly irritated with the Russian MoD’s erroneous frontline reports.
Milbloggers allegedly assaulted the MoD lately when it “overstated a tactical Russian victory” at the Antonivsky Bridge in Kherson and was accused of under-supplying troops there, according to the ISW.
