Senior ruling Communist Party officials in China have received warnings from President Xi Jinping to uphold their personal integrity, impose strict guidelines on family members to prevent corruption, and desist from mindlessly copying “foreign examples” and hasty decisions.
At a crucial party meeting on December 22, which was made public by the official media, Xi stated, “Members of the Political Bureau of the CPC (Communist Party of China) Central Committee should exert rigorous requirements on themselves according to the standards of Marxist statesmen, setting an example in maintaining personal integrity and self-discipline for the whole Party.”
