Today in Varanasi, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, gave a speech commemorating Sant Guru Ravidas’ 647th birthday. In the adjacent Ravidas Park, the Prime Minister dedicated the recently erected monument of Sant Ravidas at the Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali shrine in Seer Govardhanpur, next to BHU. Additionally, he laid the cornerstone for the Sant Ravidas Museum and the park’s makeover, which would cost approximately Rs 62 crore, and launched a number of development projects surrounding Sant Ravidas Janmasthali, totaling about Rs 32 crore.Speaking to the assembly, the prime minister wished everyone a happy 647th anniversary of Sant Ravidas ji’s birth. Observing the involvement of followers from all around the nation, the Prime Minister particularly praised the spirit of those travelling from Punjab to Kashi.
