Members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) should work together to promote regional stability and prosperity by strictly adhering to international law principles, respecting each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and encouraging economic cooperation, said External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday, in an apparent dig at China.
Jaishankar made the statements while speaking during the 22nd session of the SCO Council of Heads of Government in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
“SCO should work together to promote stability and prosperity in the region by strictly adhering to the principles of international law, respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of each other and encouraging economic cooperation,” he added in his speech.
