This week, six months after Rishi Sunak urged to be assessed on delivering what he dubbed the “people’s priorities,” the progress made towards fulfilling his “five pledges” has come under scrutiny from Conservative MPs in private.

The Guardian obtained presentation slides from No. 10 media consultants to press secretaries working in government agencies, and they reveal the following: “We still have a problem with cut-through.”
