Rahul Gandhi Is ‘Upset’ At ‘Favouritism’ In Congress Candidates

Rahul Gandhi, the Lok Sabha’s Leader of Opposition (LoP), has allegedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the alleged ‘favouritism’ in the recommended list of Congress leaders for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024, which are set for November 20. The Congress party has announced the names of 48 candidates for the 2018 Assembly elections, out of a total of 85 seats. Rahul Gandhi stated that the list of candidate names provided at the Congress Election Committee (CEC) meeting looked to “favour” particular Maharashtra Congress leaders, according to India Today.
