The Allahabad High Court denied Bollywood filmmaker Remo D’Souza’s bid to quash a cheating allegation against him. The appeal heard by a panel of Justice Rajeev Mishra noted that because D’Souza was unable to defend the chargesheet submitted against him, the court will not offer him any relief. “In the absence of a challenge to the charge sheet, no relief as requested in this application may be given. As a result, the current application fails and is liable to be dismissed,” the order stated.
