Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman delivered her seventh straight Budget to Parliament today, Tuesday, July 23. Nirmala Sitharaman outlined major employment initiatives and updated the tax structure in the new tax system, however the existing tax slabs remained untouched. The Finance Minister announced a significant cut in customs duties on cancer drugs and mobile phones. Imported gold, silver, leather items, and seafood will all become cheaper. The Budget for 2024-25 is the Modi 3.0 government’s action plan for laying forth a five-year vision for India’s growth. Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauded the Union Budget delivered by Nirmala Sitharaman. He stated that Budget 2024 will benefit all sectors of society and establish the groundwork for a prosperous India.
