New funding has been announced by the UK to combat “pro-Khalistani extremism.”

Tom Tugendhat, the security minister for the United Kingdom, has disclosed new funding of 95,000 pounds (about Rs 1 crore) to strengthen Britain’s ability to combat “pro-Khalistan extremism.”

The revelation of the increased financing coincides with growing Indian concerns over the escalating pro-Khalistani actions in the UK.

The high commission reported that Tugendhat “announced the new funding to enhance the UK’s capability to tackle Pro-Khalistan Extremism” during a meeting with India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, on Thursday in extra Delhi.
