Neeraj Chopra gained the gold medal from the World Athletics Championships to his long list of achievements. Chopra, who was already one of just two Indians to win a World Championship, is now the only athlete from his nation to win two medals in the competition and the first to take home the gold. Chopra had gotten things going in the Sunday final in Budapest with a foul throw. He was able to throw the javelin 88.17 metres on his second attempt, which ended up being the winning one.
