Prime Minister Narendra Modi will use video conferencing to officially open the new integrated terminal building at the Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair on 18 July (Tuesday) at 10:30 a.m. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Civil Aviation Minister, will arrive at the airport at 9 a.m.
The new integrated terminal building cost roughly Rs 710 crore and covers an area of around 40,800 sqm. The new terminal would be able to handle at least 50 lakh people per year.
