Without providing further details, Meta stated in a statement on Wednesday that its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, is scheduled to visit South Korea and has important meetings scheduled during his stay.
According to earlier on Wednesday’s edition of Seoul Economic Daily, a South Korean publication, anonymous individuals with knowledge of the topic indicate that Zuckerberg is scheduled to meet with Samsung Electronics chairman Jay Y. Lee as early as later this month to talk about AI chip supply and other generative AI concerns.
According to the article, the CEO of Meta might also meet President Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea.
He hasn’t been known to visit South Korea since 2013.
