A French youngster passed away from injuries he received in a violent attack, and President Emmanuel Macron issued a warning that certain young people’s “uninhibited violence” should not be allowed in schools.
The fifteen-year-old boy suffered severe physical harm on Thursday outside his school in a village south of Paris. He suffered a heart arrest and had to be taken to the hospital.
A prosecutor stated that he passed away from his wounds early on Friday afternoon. The day before the adolescent’s death, Macron made the following statement while visiting a Parisian elementary school: “We have an unbridled kind of violence among our teenagers and sometimes among increasingly younger ones.”
“Schools need to be shielded from this,” he added, adding that schools had to “remain a sanctuary for our children, for their families, for our teachers.”
