An alteration to the traditional ceremonial for King Charles III’s approaching coronation has sparked debate among opponents of the monarchy.
All citizens of the United Kingdom and other nations where King Charles is the head of state will be given the opportunity to swear allegiance to the new monarch during the ceremony on May 6th at Westminster Abbey, breaking with tradition.
