According to a report from the United States on Monday, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un plans to travel abroad for a very uncommon meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss arming Moscow for its conflict in Ukraine.
Putin on Monday dismissed the highly monitored counteroffensive that Ukraine is waging in the south and east as a failure, but Moscow appears keen to quickly acquire more military equipment to reinforce its forces.
According to Adrienne Watson, a spokesperson for the National Security Council (NSC) of the White House, “arms negotiations between Russia and the DPRK are actively advancing.”
