Kangana Ranaut, a BJP MP and actor, sought assistance from the police after a video of a group of individuals threatening her over the release of her upcoming film ‘Emergency’ appeared on social media. Ms Ranaut plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film. The threats emerged after the film’s teaser was shared on social media. In the video, six guys are seen sitting in a circle in a room, with two of them costumed as Nihang Sikhs. One of the men believes that if the film is released, the Sikh community would denounce it. “Your movie will be received with chappals,” he murmurs.
