Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos’ company, is also displaying its lunar lander as SpaceX cranks up testing for the Starship rocket in Boca Chica, Texas. SpaceX and Blue Origin competed for the first contract, which SpaceX won, much to Blue’s dismay. Following the SpaceX victory and a protracted court battle in which both SpaceX and NASA prevailed, NASA granted Blue Origin a second lunar lander contract as part of its efforts to add redundancy into the Artemis programme. Blue Origin demonstrated its cargo lander demonstration to NASA Administrator Bill Nelson during a visit to the company’s facilities earlier today.
