Veteran performer Farida Jalal, who recently portrayed the title character in Heeramandi, revealed that she began obtaining mother parts at an early age. In an interview with India Today, Jalal discussed how, when she returned with Heena, she portrayed Rishi Kapoor’s mother, and how, during Laadla, Anil Kapoor believed she was too young to portray his mother. When asked why she opted to play a mother on TV at such a young age, she replied: “It was presented to me. Henna, my return film after eight years, starred Rishi Kapoor. In Bobby, I played opposite him. I was maybe two or five years older than him, but I portrayed his mother in Henna.
