The Supreme Court on Friday reserved its decision on a plea filed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal contesting his detention and subsequent remand by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy issue. A bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna stated that CM Kejriwal might ask the trial court for regular bail in the money laundering case, despite the fact that the Supreme Court reserved judgement on the subject. The bench, which also included Justice Dipankar Datta, concluded hearing oral arguments presented by Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta and Additional Solicitor General (ASG) S.V. Raju, defending the ED, and senior counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing the petitioner (Kejriwal).
