According to People, actor Daniel Radcliffe, widely known for his role as Harry Potter, discussed the impending Harry Potter television series. He received his first Tony Award at the Tony Awards 2024. While speaking with the media, he stated that he is excited to see the final Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, transformed into a television series. “The last one, I mean, it’ll be a while before they get to that, I assume, but that was always one of my favourite of the books and of the films,” he continued. Warner Bros. Discovery announced in April 2023 that it will produce a new Harry Potter series based on J. K. Rowling’s novels. “We are delighted to give audiences the opportunity to discover Hogwarts in a whole new way,” Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and Max Content, stated in a press statement at the time.
