As the Chief Guest for the 56th National Day Celebrations of Mauritius ,President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the strong and enduring links that exist between the two nations.
Mauritius is hosting President Murmu on a three-day state visit.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Murmu’s attendance at the 32nd anniversary of the Republic of Mauritius and the 56th anniversary of independence represents a historic moment for the particular friendship between Mauritius and India.
“A historic milestone for the unique connection between Mauritius and India! The 56th anniversary of Mauritius’ independence and the 32nd anniversary of the Republic of Mauritius were celebrated at Champ de Mars with President Droupadi Murmu @rashtrapatibhvn as the Chief Guest,” the Ministry of External Affairs wrote on X alongside a few images from the event.
