The founder of the massive online retailer Amazon, Jeff Bezos, has revealed why he decided to leave his position as CEO of the business two years ago. The world was taken aback by the sudden move, and now Mr. Bezos has explained why he made it in a recent Lex Fridman Podcast episode.
Mr. Bezos stated that the main factor in his decision to retire was his dedication to his space exploration company, Blue Origin. The billionaire gave an explanation for his decision to step down as CEO of the business he founded in 1994, stating that in order for his space venture to expand more quickly, it would not be able to manage both Blue Origin and Amazon at the same time.
