Actor Dhanush has responded to criticism over his recent acquisition of a Rs 150 crore property near Rajinikanth and late former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s homes in Poes Garden. During the audio launch ceremony for his next film “Raayan,” Dhanush pondered on his journey from the slums to one of Chennai’s most elite neighbourhoods.”If I had known that buying a property in Poes Garden would become such a hot topic of talk, I would have chosen a little flat instead. Should someone like me not buy a home in Poes Garden? Should a person who was born on the streets continue to live there till the end of their life?” he remarked, calling the talk surrounding his purchase ludicrous.
