The White House said that US President Joe Biden will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on the margins of a meeting in San Francisco in November for “constructive” talks.
The remarks came only days after China’s foreign minister paid a rare visit to Washington to prepare for Xi’s meeting with Biden at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference.
China has yet to announce that Xi will attend.
