Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, declared that he had accepted Xi Jinping’s invitation to visit China in October.
In a meeting with Beijing’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, President Putin said, “I was pleased to accept the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China’s invitation to visit China in October,” according to footage broadcast on Russian state television.
