During a visit to Beijing’s democratic adversary Taiwan on Wednesday, former British prime minister Liz Truss issued a warning about the economic and political dangers that China poses to the West.
Truss is the first former British prime minister to travel to the autonomous island republic that China claims as its own, ready to be occupied by force if necessary, since Margaret Thatcher did so in the 1990s.
